Climate Resilience
Why climate resilience?
Finance for climate adaptation in emerging markets is 5-10x below what is needed, and the gap is widening. One barrier to financing adaption has been the absence of clear metrics – how do investors know if they’ve built resilience?
60 Decibels offers a standardized and simple methodology for measuring impacts on household resilience to climate shocks. For the last decade, our team has tested ways to get climate-conscious funders and enterprises relevant, affordable, and data-driven insights. Through focusing on things that social enterprises can actually impact, we give sector leaders and enterprises the data they need.
By developing standardized metrics, we’ve created sector-agnostic tools that can be implemented independently or added to your existing Lean Data projects. The survey questions can be used across different households and farming communities, providing actionable insights to better improve climate resilience for all. We’ve tested these tools in energy, financial inclusion, and agriculture.
