Understanding Your Rights as a Data Subject

The types of personal data we are requesting from you include: name, phone number, and gender. Data collected will be stored in our online servers which is only accessible to the 60 Decibels research team. We will destroy your personal data one year after completion of the project or as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose of the study, whichever is earlier.

We will make our best efforts to maintain the confidentiality of any information and/or responses that are collected during this research study. Answers to these questions will be combined with answers from other respondents and we will never identify you personally as a participant in this survey. Only information that does not identify you may be shared with other people or organizations.

We will only collect certain data relating to farm and farming activities, and your use of a mobile phone for farming activities as part of our survey. We will not be collecting your financial information or any private information relating to your passwords, bank accounts or payments.

Your anonymized data will be combined with responses from other farmers participating in this survey and will be pulled into a report that is to be shared publicly.

Data Transfer

We will transfer your personal data to researchers, service providers, and back to 60 Decibels, who are in locations across the world including but not limited to Ireland, United Kingdom, USA, India, and Kenya. The level of data protection in these locations may differ from the level of data protection here. We will only share your personal data to third parties who are contractually obligated to keep your personal data confidential.

The answers you provide will be stored in 60 Decibels’ online servers. These are password
 protected and will only be accessible to members of 60 Decibels research team.

Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, demand access to, the correction and/or deletion of, and require any limitation of processing of as well as the right to object against the carried-out processing of your Personal Data.
