Understanding how the data and learnings will be used by 60 Decibels

Types of data that we will collect:

We will only collect certain data on your mobile loan usage and experience with the provider (“Personal Information”) as part of our survey. Under any circumstances, we will not be collecting from you as part of this survey or future ones, any information relating to your passwords, bank accounts or payment.

Purpose

We will be using your Personal Information solely for market research, to help companies and organizations that create and provide mobile loan services to better understand how to improve these products and services by sharing your experiences and feedback with them.     

Voluntary nature and your right to withdraw

Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary. If you do not want to answer a question, you can refuse to answer or withdraw from the survey at any time. Your decision to decline to answer or to withdraw will not lead to penalty or loss of any existing benefits from the company but you will not be entitled to receive the incentive for completing this survey. There are no anticipated risks from study participation.

Compensation for participation

If you are identified as eligible, we will reach out to you for a survey. Upon successful completion of the survey, you will receive mobile phone airtime of 250 KSH.

Confidentiality

We will strive to always keep your responses to this survey confidential. Your responses will be combined with answers from other respondents participating in this survey and we will never identify you personally as a participant in this survey. The answers you provide will only be accessible to members of our research team and individuals from 60 Decibels who oversee the research. Only information that does not identify you may be shared with other people or organizations. 

Retention of your data

Data collected will be stored in our online servers which is only accessible to the 60 Decibels research team. We will destroy your personal data one year after completion of the project.

Data subjects can access, rectify, erase, restrict or export their personal information at any time by emailing 60 Decibels at data@60decibels.com. Data subjects can object to our processing of their personal information at any time.
