Charles is an Associate at 60 Decibels based in Nairobi, Kenya. With a bias in research, data and policy analysis, he focuses on filling essential knowledge gaps related to social, economic and development challenges through research, utilizing available data to enhance evidence-based decision-making, and driving continuous improvements in policy and programming outcomes.

Prior to joining 60 Decibels, Charles worked as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Analyst at Genesis Analytics, where he was involved in designing, developing and implementing MEL Frameworks for social interventions, and provided technical programmatic support across various thematic areas related to youth empowerment and inclusive economic opportunities, MSMEs growth and enterprise development in Africa. He’s also experienced in Public Finance Management (PFM), and is always seeking to elevate evidence and learning towards effective and agile budgeting for sustainable development.

Charles holds two master’s degrees in Economic Policy Management (University of Nairobi) and in Public Policy and Administration (Kenyatta University), and has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance (Kenyatta University). He is a professional member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA) and Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, playing table tennis, and is always ready to deal a game of monopoly.
