Andy Fyfe supports community growth at 60 Decibels. Prior to 60 Decibels, he was the Director of Equitable Growth at B Lab, the non-profit behind B Corp Certification, transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. He was there for 13 years and in his last few, he shifted his focus away from recruiting large companies to certify to instead lead the listening, relationship building and program innovation with small entrepreneurs who face systemic barriers to economic empowerment. Moved by the community of people B Lab served, he took pride in creating B Corp Month, B Corp Leadership Development Conference, B Corp Climate Collective, B Inspired Festival, and most recently: Level. Level was a recognition that we don’t all start from the same place and provides women of color-owned businesses with resources needed to: measure and improve their impact, tell their story, adopt legal stakeholder governance, and certify as a B Corp. With a background in microfinance, non-profit management, child advocacy, as well as a degree in peace and conflict studies, Andy sees himself as a catalyst for community connection, ensuring there is joy and story in what is pressing and complex. Before B Lab, he traveled through Latin America for two years living in rural communities, working alongside small entrepreneurs, and hanging his hammock quite often along the way. In 2017 he was recognized as a Patron of Progress in New York City and his interview can beĀ read here. He graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder, played on the baseball team there, and managed to still graduate in four years despite a year abroad in Chile and a healthy habit of ski days in the Rockies.

Andy by the numbers – companies he helped certify as B Corps: 800+, years to burning man: 12, kids: 1 (newborn!), countries he’s slept in a hammock: 18.
